Wax and Wraps is the brainchild of Jacqueline Shaw, a seasoned fashion designer and the director of African Fashion Guide, which she established to promote African fashion and make it available to consumers outside Africa. To further simplify the process of accessing African fashion for the growing population of consumers outside the continent, she established Wax and Wraps. Wax and Wraps is an attempt to share the beauty and talent in Africa with the world through a monthly or bi-monthly subscription box containing African prints, a sewer kit, headwraps and others.
Having worked with us before and being impressed with our work, our client trusted us with this project as well. She launched this new project during the pandemic in mid-2020 and contacted us in July to help her create brand awareness and ensure sales as well. Our role was to create Facebook ads that will take the brand to the right potential audience.
The ultimate marketing result was to increase sales. However, since it was a new brand, to achieve that, we had to initially target increasing brand awareness. So, we concentrated the Facebook ads on creating brand awareness in the first month and in the subsequent months, we ran Facebook ad campaigns for email subscribers and subscribers for the monthly and bi-monthly subscription box, which translates to sales. We were able to generate over 1500 email subscribers for her mail list and about 700 subscribers for the subscription box.
