CollaboBet is an online betting platform in Nigeria catering to bettors of a range of sporting games, including football, basketball, American football, tennis, volleyball, cricket, and MMA among others. They came into the market to serve as an alternative to older betting companies in the country.
Considering this was a new brand and they would be competing with already-established companies in the sports betting industry, the client needed us to create brand awareness and increase traffic to the website by providing them with effective digital marketing services. We were to set up digital ads, handle social media management and SEO to present the brand and all it has to offer to the target audience.
The client reached out to us in October 2020 and after a series of meetings, we started work in November determining the digital marketing strategies that would help the client achieve their objectives. When this was decided, we offered the brand Search Engine Optimisation, Social Media Management, and Google Advertising.
Search Engine Optimisation: The first thing we did when we started was to review their website to provide suggestions for website update that would increase organic traffic to the site. Then we set up their Google Analytics account to analyse traffic and other website activities as well as track the Google Ads campaigns. We also created the Search Console account to ease ranking on Google, Google Tag Manager to place necessary codes on the website, and Google My Business account to increase their visibility on Google.
Social Media Management: The team created an account on the different social media platforms. We set up a Facebook page with a Facebook Manager Account to manage Facebook and Instagram ads. Then we created an Instagram account and a Twitter handle. We also came up with a bio (description) for all the pages and created the content and graphic designs for the social media posts.
Google Advertising: We set up a Google Ads account using their official Gmail address and acquired Google Ads certification for Online Gambling Ads. Then we designed display banners which were used to set up the Google display ads campaigns. The campaigns generated over 1.5 million impressions across about 7833 platforms nationwide.
In two months, the Google display ads generated over 1.5 million impressions across about 7,833 platforms, including mobile apps, blogs and websites.
