What Everyone needs to Know About Email List Building
You’ve probably been searching around the web for quite some time now, trying to learn as much as you can about email list building. Or maybe you’ve even tried to make money from your current email list, but it didn’t turn out as well as you hoped. Indeed, if you’re like a lot of rookie email marketers or internet entrepreneurs, then you probably ended up having a bunch of uninterested subscribers who do not engage nor convert.
Don’t despair. You too can start making money from your list, and all you have to do is tweak your email marketing strategy a bit. Generally, that means you need to avoid making these three common email list building mistakes.
Email List Building Mistake #1
Just guessing, but I’m betting that close to half of beginning email marketers or online entrepreneurs make this mistake. Worse yet, some of the blogs and products you find around the web actually teach people to focus first on the email list building. That’s a mistake!
If you see someone advocating it, turn a deaf ear because just focusing only on building an email list is unhealthy for profitability. The common phrase that says ‘the money is in the list’ is a great big lie if you do not give enough thought or effort to how you’re going to make money from that list.
Instead, what you want to do is determine how you will monetize a new lead or subscriber once you have them.
Email List Building Mistake #2
This is another exceedingly common mistake, simply because you have a huge email list that pays does not mean that you’re doing it right with your communication. However, if you want to have an effective strategy with your email list, then you need to make sure you don’t send the exact same content to everyone on your email list. Instead, ensure to engage the two email send types, that is broadcast and triggered emails. Only promotions and newsletters should be broadcast to your entire database, everything else should be triggered by a specific action or behaviour.
Email List Building Mistake #3
Don’t feel bad if you make this mistake. That’s because even some of the biggest experts in your industry do.
You see, it is a costly mistake to not follow up on your new subscribers with a pre-determined series of messages. If you choose otherwise, it’s fine but what have you got to lose with an autoresponder indoctrination email series that can bond your new lead to you?
In other words, this is a case of utmost importance.” So instead of neglecting your new subscriber and sending the same content with your entire database, do something smarter, bond them to you with a compelling follow-up strategy. Trust me, your bank account will thank you for it. 🙂
You too can build an engaging email list and make money from it, especially if you avoid these common email marketing mistakes. Which of these are guilty of?
Go up north now, apply this knowledge today and see for yourself!
